    - VF MAGAZINE APPEARANCES! Two issues! I'm totally interviewed in two consecutive issues of the popular VF Magazine. Pick up the one with KMFDM on the cover for a lengthy reivew of what I was listening to at the time and pick up the one with Ministry on the cover for the real "band interview" type interview.

The interview occurs at about an hour and seventeen minutes into the podcast, so you may just want to download the file and skip ahead (although they really do play a lot of good music).

    1. The Dane 101 show with Cervello Elettronico, Null Device and Black Clouds was awesome.

    2. New shows! - The first two shows of 2007 have been booked and they're both extremely kick-ass cons. The Gothsicles will bring the pain on the Friday nights of both MarsCon and OddCon!

    3. Three new album reviews, including one in Japanese. Check 'em out here, here and here.

    4. On 10/23/06, The Gothsicles were selected by The Isthmus, Madison's prime alternate paper, as the band of the day! Cool!

    5. FAN COMMUNITY! I got a MySpace message the other day informing me that a Gothsicles fan community now exists.

    6. iTUNES! "NESferatu" is now available on iTunes, up all in your internets.

    7. Just did a remix for Worm Quartet for his upcoming re-release of his classic first album.

    8. Labelmates Sensuous Enemy hooked my up with their remix of Triple Shot over the weekend. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it, but it's seriously rad.

    1. The recent shows, GOTHtoberfest and Sound + Fury II (with Voltaire and Covenant/Rotersand/Imperative Reaction/Sensuous Enemy, respectively) were awesome and magical. Mega-thanks to the promoters, bands and attendees.     2. In further show news, EBM experimentalist extraordinaire CERVELLO ELETTRONICO has been added to the upcoming bill for the Dane101 Halloween show on October 25 in Madison, WI at the High Noon. Awesome.

Not only is the new track "I Can Tell You Shop At Hot(t) Topic" featured on the show, coverage of the wacky tale surrounding the delivery, *thievery*, and eventual recovery of NESferatu is played out in mini-sketch format, complete with the voice talents of The Great Luke Ski.

    3. Additionally, authorized 'Sicles music is featured in a new ad for Nerdcore: The Core Wars, which you can hear on this week's episode of Digital Strips. I'm pretty happy with this 'cause I like Nerdcore a lot.

    1) First off, supporting Caustic at Black Sun II was wonderful and amazing.

    2) GenCon was awesome as well, but a hair away from total disaster. Were it not for the efforts of several people, most especially the promoter and venue owner, we would have been completely sunk due to technical issues. We weren't though. It was all good. And by good, I mean rad as hell.

    3) Infotastic flyers are now up for the upcoming show in South Bend, IN, as well as ElectroPhest in Cleveland (which is not to discount the sure-to-be-awesome "Fashionista" in Milwaukee). Check all that out here.

    We did a surprise set at this year's Reverence Festival. We'd been planning it out for a while and I think it went over really well. Proof of our musikill sneak attack is here.

    I think we got trumped though, 'cause the first night of the festival, Null Device did a surprise cover of the 'sicles track, Konami Code. The few functioning remnants of my brain basically exploded.

  • Downloadable audio interview on the Manic Mondays podcast! Manic Mondays is a podcast done by Tom Rockwell of Sudden Death fame, who interviewed us at MarsCon 2006. Also in this episode are interviews with some A-1 acts, including Tom Smith, members of the former Nick Atoms, and Sudden Death and Worm Quartet interviewing each other. We are on Episode 49. Word.

    Hey, do you know what is awesome? In addition to doing the artwork for the album, Bogart Shwadchuck decided to be kooler than Jebus and toss in a remix, i.e. the first straight up "Epsilon Minus" track/remix/whatever in over a year. It should come as no surprise that this remix is fucking amazing. Like, damn.

    Here are some things listed in order of how exciting they are:

    1. New Audio! The Dr. Phloxicles got axed to write the song for the ending credits of a new indie film from NY's DJ Draven, entitled "So You've Decided To Become A Goth". The movie's not downloadable yet, but you can hear the song right here:

    The Gothsicles - Theme From "So You've Decided To Become A Goth".mp3 (The lyrics won't make any sense 'cause they all reference the movie (the cameo from Hanzel und Gretyl(!!), for example. (Plus it's kinda quiet)). This track was also produced by The Dark Clan. Respek.

    2. We were asked to play the wedding reception for our friends Kate and Josh (Madison's DJ Whiterabbit). It was awesome and made all the more awesome by the fact that Mika of Beligium's rhythmic/power noise uberlords This Morn' Omina was DJing. Photos are here

    3. Gonna freeze all remix work and live shows until this EP is done.

      Oof, where to begin?

    • Biiiig fat thank you to everyone who made this recent spat of shows possible! Thanks to all the bands, techs, DJs and attendants with special thanks to EiB for lending us some extension cords, to Human Aftertaste for bringing some serious noise in Milwaukee and to the Orpheum techs in Madison for the use of a movie screen for visuals, which was fukkin' boss. A bunch of pics were taken at all three of these shows (Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison), which should be available soon.

    • New audio! Remix I did fer CTRLSHFT is now available here. Also been playing some new stuff live, which may or may not get recorded.

    • Gearin' up for round two (well, three or four I guess)! Neuroverse practice is going into high gear and some new jokery for our return to Madison with the aforementioned Neuroverse and Milwaukee's own Netherfabrik on the 7th of April is in the works. Thundercats, HOOO!

    We gots us an mp3.com site now (even though it still lists us as being from Freiburg and not from Madison). "Devastator" and a newer unrealesed track have been getting some club play at The Inferno (which is mostly cause we know the djs, but people were still dancin'). I heard "Sonic Boom!" was getting some club play in Chicago, but no club names have been discovered.

    In any case, new tracks G'sics tracks are just on the horizon. Also currently trading remixes with Thosquanta and talking to Y-LUK-O about a possible collaboration!
